Using 832 on my spinning reel but will go to x9 next.

I was completely satisfied with the 832 and only reason I tried the X9 is that it was on 2 reels I purchased off the forum. Handles just like the 832, but the color doesn't fade like the 832 does. I use the yellow lines so I can see it better.

Power Pro Moss Green 8-10 lb, albright knot connection to about 18-24 inch 8-12lb test mono leader test does it just right for me.  Won't go higher than 15 as there is no need for the lakes I fish, unless I'm frogging/punching in which I'd use 65 lb test.  For all my spinning and finesse tactics with the exception of frogging and punching on a baitcaser, all my spinners are spooled with braid and the remainder of my baitcasters are treated with 12-14 lb monofilament and 17lb for my jig rod.

FINs

Best braid I have used.  They make a bunch of different types for different applications

Fins @ 10 lbs for reels in the 2000 to 3 k size. Must have deep spool.

I'll go 12 for reels to 4k.

Never found a need for heavier line.

I've chased a few along a river to not get spooled. Current and not fish size here.
