I have a 4 rod Rac A Rod holder and the foam insert needs replacement.  Has anyone replaced the foam?  If so, what type of foam and where did you get it?  Seems to be a stiffer foam...not too sure where to look.  Thanks for any info.

Maybe you can try cutting it out of a "pool noodle".  You can get them at the dollar store, five below etc

maybe, the original foam seems more rigid and thicker then typical pool noodles.  but I'll check.  thanks

I had gotten the 2 rod foam holder replacement years ago for the older rod rack from "the surfcaster". Perhaps contact them what might be a good substitute as I don't believe they don't carry it anymore.

What your looking for is polyethylene foam you can Google it and find what size you need by measuring the existing pieces and cutting it to size using one of those cheap box cutters with the blades you can break off

I happen to have some pretty fancy stuff that might work well in that application. Its meant for vibration isolation, so it is designed not to compression set over time like most foams will.  If you PM me the general dimensions and your address I'll see if there is a cut off that will work for you.

So, it does give a little (like enough to secure a rod between two pieces of this type foam, without damaging rod)?
