 ****, I might even consider flying down to North Carolina to meet you to see how it handles on the highway back to NJ. That came out great. :th:

Surprisingly even better than it did before the conversion.

Even more surprising, shocking.even, it didn't affect the gas mileage

I am really happy with it.

Hey ! I like my Transit van !

We're back !
Been away and out of the loop for most of 2 weeks picking up the RV down in Ashville NC after the 4x4 conversion - promptly got ourselves stuck on top of Pisgah mountain on a narrow trail, at night, with no cell service for miles (4x4 is great, blew a power steering line that should be a Ford recall item ).
Got off the mountain and repaired thanks to Chris, Steve and the rest of the guys at U-Joint who did the conversion and were only 15 minutes away.

Headed down to Myrtle and proceeded to spend a few days doing some severe damage to our livers at our friends place. Got out fishing on Fathers day and boated two bucket list fish, a king mackerel and 32" cobia - that thing was a hell of a fight, the king not so much even though it was much larger.

From there up to the DC area to spend some time camping with my oldest Kyle and his wife Katie.
And back home again.

The thing handles much better than before the conversion and in total I'm getting 0.1 miles MORE per gallon (which I don't understand but am not going to complain about)

Do you have any pictures of these off-road adventures?

None of the mountain escapade (Wish I had taken some)

The rest are family vacation type stuff that none of you would give a rats hairy butt about.

What mileage do you get?

I'm putting a $500.00 Wilson 'overlander' type cellphone booster in our ambulance.

I'll report back on how it works.

We're looking at the Starlink system - not totally sold on it yet

I did to, too expensive for our small Volunteer Fire Department.
