Delaware River

I'll be up by roscoe, ny in the next few weeks. I'll be right by the Delaware River and thought I would drop a line in. I don't  plan on fly fishing it, just use the spinning rod. What are some lures I could use? Anyone try a casting egg &  fly?

Throw Rapalas day and night.

Spinners and spoons also.

Don't think too small with baits.

I just spent a few days on the D last week. It's lowwwwwwww. If spin fishing with lures, I'd be targeting daybreak and the first hour after sunrise. And again right at sunset into the dark. In the dark or low-light hours, don't be afraid to throw something that quietly pushes water on the surface, like a wake bait or something of the sort.

 

An egg and fly may be tough. Those fish will spit your fly way faster than you can detect it with an egg.
