The fish blog was created as a common communal gathering place to share and report weekly fishing activity. Having this information in one thread benefits those who greatly use this RI forum and ply our local waters. The premise is to gather all weekly reports into one common portal, thus making it easy to access, view and add your own fish reports and comments.   This is the sixth year for this unique approach. Post your success or skunks, either way, black or white, zero to hero, let us all share this information.  Fresh, factual information is one of the best sources of Intel we have at our disposal to predict what may happen tomorrow.

It really took off last week if you were in the right place at the right time, usually morning hours.

If you were lucky enough to find them, you got a solid one hour to two of consistent fishing.

Awesome bluefish- roughly how much did it weigh?

They’re the most deceptive fish as far as why you think they weigh and their actual weight.  I got one last year that was 34” and just a hair over 14lbs… thought it was way heavier.

I'm guessing maybe 15 lbs. ?

Hey capt , curious if you have seen adult bunker held up in that part of the bay ? I live in Warwick and been fishing north and around this way , got on some big blues as well but haven’t ventured south much or in that direction yet

Beginning of last week seemed to hit off on a good note , out for sunset catching blues then fishing a small outflow in upper part of the bay , got tons of slot sized bass some over slots and even a 42/43 inch bass , went back out Friday night seemed as tho it would have been a perfect set up with sunset , high tide , outgoing and new moon , and it was completely dead , still finding fish but not like it was , weird spring for sure , the spots that produced well last spring are dead this year and spots that only held schoolies last year are fishing better this year

Only school of adult pogies I've observed in the entire upper bay last week have been in Greenwich Harbor Basin between both boat ramps.

There have been lots of peanuts around at times in the morning triggering some nice surface blitzes.

Scouted a new spot this morning East bay, pretty south. Low tide let me see some of the structure but I don't think the tide is helping the fishing. Lots of eel grass and structure but no life. Would be interesting to try at an outgoing tide.
