The fish I was hitting in the ocean have moved on and out front was slow except for some larger but not quite tackle busting size blues in big water crashing on a bar.  I decided to try instead something different and hit a spot wayyyyy different for me on light tackle and had an absolute blast on 24-29inch fish.   First one came on hydro minnow and then next 7 came on the bucktail.

Was out yesterday late afternoon doing some gator hunting but came up empty.  Lots of participation just no action to go along with it.  This morning made a move to the North Country taking a nice long walk.  Would have been better if it was more productive but just didn't happen.  Saw only one blue pulled to the sand.  Conditions were just fine except for the lack of fish.  Plan to stay local in the morning.

Hit a few local out back places with 2 handed rod- first place was quickly blow out due to fast incoming high water and seaweed- water clear-but nothing home- second place water dirtier but able to fish it- nothing home- went to third, nice sweep from incoming- had two in 3 casts and then nothing. Large spearing around.

Did try different clousers/deceivers in the hope of "match the hatch", just the two were interested. tide eventually pushed me off the water and even a roll casts was no longer available.

First surf trip of the season after some cold nights in the bays and rivers.  Big surf, no wind.  No signs of life, threw bucktails and minnow plugs mostly, skunk.  Might try again Sunday.

Saw some really really nice fish caught last night, but not by me.  All I could manage was in the 25lb range. At least avoided the skunk……

Back out tonight!!!!

Had some real quality blues this week and a couple skunks as well. The blues were probably between 8 and 12 lbs. Oddly enough, the fight was strangely disappointing. It almost seemed like they were a bit lethargic because of the cold water. Still a good fight, just not what you have come to expect.

Back of CMC a few nice fish on the fly. Peanut bunker were seen by mmy friend so I started off with an olive/white Hollow. Incoming tide was rolling in with the full moon pushing hard.

Slow slow slow staying local. Skunks and a couple blues for me this week despite the full moon. Great conditions out front as well. Out of town for the weekend. Slay em’ Gang!

A few hours out front this morning. Big waves with the full moon. I was expecting that but not the seaweed every cast. Nothing going on and didn’t see anyone else out. Oh well. Try again somewhere tomorrow.
