Bit chilly this week....Weather wise, looks good till Friday. Structure. Not much where you are staying, Little Bridge, Oregon Inlet and the new pier there, cuts on the beach, the sound with deep areas and channels, the Point, ramp 38(small fish), 43,44,55....try to go where the fish are and not wait for the fish to come to you. Southern area of Ocracoke but that might be too far for you unless you wake up at 5am to get there before the crowd. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hit the beach this morning for about 3.5 hours.  Waves pretty high but 3 oz. Sputniks held pretty well.  Fish weren’t hungry - only 1 sea mullet/whiting and 1 small spot for our efforts.  But it was a nice morning - enjoyed the sun, the company and watching all the birds.  Back at it tomorrow.

I forgot to mention earlier - someone on the pier caught a striper - looked to be about 24 inches but very fat!

Final day of fishing - tried the surf again.  Threw metal and lures for about 1 hour - nada.  Tried bait and wait - just 1 medium-sized sea mullet/whiting.

Tried out two new rods this trip - an 8’6” Ninja Dagger and an 8’ Blackhole ultra lite surf rod.  Both did well but I was particularly impressed with the Blackhole ultra lite - it handled 1.5 - 2 ounces easily- good job Kil!!

Heading home tomorrow AM - back in mid-October for a week - can’t wait!
