hhager23
Just wanted to know if anybody has caught anything recently. Also curious about water temps on northern and southern beaches. johnbull
I'm not up there, but there is a Hatteras Island FB page. In looking at it there are a few drum (pups, yearling, and big ones) but my impression is that there's not a big bite going on. Wish I were there, but my turn doesn't come for another 53 days (but who's counting!)
bstriping
There was avery good bite up at Salvo Rodanthe area. Sound water temps on Hatteras Island have fluctuated from mid 50's to mid 60's. Ocean temps have been pretty consistant in the low to mid 60's. Drum are around. hhager23 1 live everyday as if it is your last, it just might be

Sounds like your water temps are rising on the northern beaches - even if you have some cold weather coming. Thanks for the update. "A land without memories is a people without liberty" - Robert E. Cephalopholis
yep- water temps in Southern Shores has risen to 54 degrees today. Air temps will be in the upper 70's all next week, (after a small cold front blows through on Sat) !! hhager23 1 If you can't dazzle them with brilliance.....Baffle 'em with bull sheet
