Mine are pretty easy this year:

1) Survive the year

2) Fish more than last year

3) Try new gear/techniques/spots

Edit: might need to amend #3, but it is really a good catchall... I am also with Skunkoff above and used one of those fishlab swimbaits this past weekend. I might need to change up the hooks to more like he did (I only swapped out the tailhook for a single hook with bucktail, but the trebles were a real pain and seemed to be real brittle as the barb typically broke off instead of crushing down).

How was the action on the Swimlab?

It was a little heavy for the rod I had on me, but I couldn't resist just trying it out. The action seemed really good. I got hung up a few times on muscle beds because of the treble hooks (hence why I want to made the same mod you did). However, this seems like it would be deadly especially in situations where you can see the fish you are going after cause you can just ever so slowly glide it on in front of that fish. Very life-like movements out of it on a slow retrieve and something that I think would be excellent in presenting the lure as swimming against a current.

Good to know, thanks for the input.
