March Large Mouth???

I gave it a shot at a pond I've wanted to fish for a while on Sunday afternoon.  Unfortunately the area is so overgrown on the banks that casting from shore is nearly impossible.  I'm going to have to go back with my waders so that I can get clear of the shore.

If I recall correctly this lure I have on a vintage baitcaster is a Minus 1. Very effective. It is wide and egg shaped with rattles inside. I had to pinch the barbs it was soo good.

Yes that is it. It’s a classic bait that still works well.

That’s going to swim a little deeper and not have as much wobble but will still work. Fish it super slow over flats with dead weeds.

My son got out targeting bass for the first time this year on the warm afternoon earlier this week. He said he got a few pickerel and this chunk, which was he his first of the year.

Normally we get some ice fishing, but we all know how that went...

He said he was sticking to his glide bait to weed out the runts but no bigs put in an appearance.

I still haven't had a chance to get him over to the warm water discharge I found. I assume they'll spead out from there as the river warms up.
