Is this rod a good choice for targeting big bass of a kayak or boat?

Someone out of the kayak forum named that term. It might have been flyak.

I'm gonna start using that term, I mostly fish the elizabeths so tons of guys still drag tubes. I can stand it, boring af, and less productive than drifting eels

It’s the best thing to do when moving from spot to spot.  Pube and worm on leadcore on the way to sow & pigs ;-).  It really does produce, though.

I won't say it doesn't produce because it does, but IME eels brig up less fish than the tube, but they're generally bigger

Yeah that’s definitely true.
I’ll double down on that too because the leadcore boat rods I use to troll them are less than sporting when it comes to reeling in schoolies.

it’s a good slack tide, bright sun, activity to do while moving from spot to spot though.

I hate trolling lol. I acknowledge that it’s deadly and a great way to cover ground I just hate it. Leadcore especially.

usually if I need to move I just gun it to maximize the amount of time actively fishing and decrease the amount of time spent repositioning.

and the pube and worm is a great slow but tactic, but when it’s slack and the bite has died I honestly usually push off shore by like 50 yards and start jigging for scup lol. I find catching scup on my ultra light jig setup is more fun than catching stripers trolling a worm on leadcore.
