adobo
went out after work today and managed 1 keeper. Pink and white BT with a keitech swimbait tail. Boy was it cold after the sun came down. bdowning, Master Debaiter, EricDice and 2 others 5 "With all things being equal, the simplest explanation tends to be the right one..." Will be heading out again for casting practice and to try out new lures after work. It's gonna be cold again like Shihtzu for sure, rain expected too. adams54 and bill cunnane 2 "With all things being equal, the simplest explanation tends to be the right one..." Popular Post GeoffT
Popped my 2023 cherry this morning. Cold as a witch's tit to start but no wind. Bigger fish to start this season than last, up to 36". Half of the catches were 30"+. They only wanted the 7" blurple Zman shad. Fish were really stacked up but finicky (you can tell from the FF). Water temp 45 degrees. Edited March 11 by GeoffT csteven, adams54, JohnnyK and 20 others
FallenKell
Crap... I need to get more purple... I was just looking through my stock of stuff and realized I am pretty much out with just 2 blurple slug-gos and a couple plugs (but the plugs are a little too big for this time of the year). I have a ton of pearl/white/silver.... Off to the store at some point assuming places even have stock anymore (lots of places are out of anything I was looking for in the off season and I had to resort to internet direct from manufacturers in some cases). I don't think I reported my report from last weekend... it began with wind, and ended with wind, with a lot of wind in-between, and no fish.... But I did get my reel back from service, so at least that went well. Edited March 10 by FallenKell bill cunnane and richie c
adobo
Had a small window to fish outback Moco late morning. Water was not too dirty, lots of birds socializing, no bait, no fishermen, no yaks observed. A well deserved Skunk. Will try again later. FishinFreak
I’ve made 3 trips out back in nnj and 3 skunks so far. Im up really early for work every day so limits my weeknight fishing. I fish when I can though. Last Friday was crazy windy and heavy rain- goose egg! Tried last night in the rain and at least the wind wasn’t too bad. Fished about 5 hours in 3 different spots and NADA! I did manage to snag an adult bunker though so that’s a good sign. Why is it always nice during the week then crummy on weekends? I will give it a shot again tomorrow morning. Determined to break this streak of skunks. adobo

pressphotog
I stopped at a spot before dark and watched a guy throw the bag with no hits. I'm still nursing my recovery from knee replacement surgery and I am not loving these weather changes or the idea of getting in an out of waders just yet. Ask me if I'm catching in a couple weeks or so. bdowning
jlapenta
Got some decent basss way, way in the back on the YAK on Friday morning. Once the outgoing tide started to move, fish started biting. Water was 43, pretty dirty. Dark profile rubber Jayfish, GeoffT and JMB
Popular Post Jefffahfffah
Nothing again tonight in the skinny north jersey tidal water. Guessing all the rain flushed em towards the bay for the next few days. HOWEVER, i was offshore wreck fishing yesterday and acquired this, which made my week (yeti 75 for scale) wjtoggin, SurfMonster, nam1969 and 11 others
