Anyone have - use them ,I am looking for a 7'6" medium heavy rod for SW Florida wade fishing pairing to a Van Staal VSB 50 reel? West marine in ft myers said they have a ton of them I was going to take a ride over there next week and check them out. My other rod I was looking into is a St. Croix avid inshore but I doesn’t seem like anyone stocks them and I like to hold a rod with the reel i intend to use on it before I buy.

Cabelas, now bass pro is where I was I bought my last St Croix for OBX surf a couple years ago.  Check them out online and see what they have in stock at local store.

I have been using St Croix since i bought my first 4'-6" one  piece ultra light spinning rod for central PA trout around 35 years ago :)

I hear you with St. Croix value I like you have been fishing them for 30+ and have no complaints . I just wanted to give Bull Bay a shot they seem to have a pretty big following .

I have the brute force 7’11” tarpon rod. I cannot give you any feedback on their wading rods. This tarpon rod is built tough and no nonsense or frills. It feels like it could slow a AMTRAC and just what I was looking for when the Giants pass through.

The good thing about Bull Bay is they are built in Lakeland Florida by Florida fishermen. Give them a call and tell them exactly what you are looking for and they will point you to the rods in their series that best fit your needs and wants. I did when I was looking for a large Tarpon rod and the are very good to talk to. They even sell direct or will ship what you want to one of their dealers that are close to you.

I wound up getting  7'6" MH Tac X from anderson tackle. I have a van staal vsb 50 on it and it's a pretty nice match. Got into a ton of decent trout in pine island and a nice red in charlotte harbor. It's not a cheap rod but you only live once .
