Are we changing the clocks again (forward) ?

Got a notification to remember to do it in sometime in March.....

I thought this DUMB idea of continually doing this annually was abolished........

( In Mass only?)

Daylight savings begins March 12th.

This was supposed to be the last year of changing clocks back and forth, but I think that bill died in the House:

"While the U.S. Senate approved legislation last year that would have made daylight saving time permanent, the bill stalled in a House committee and was not voted on prior to the end of the previous Congress."

They tried that once, in the late 1970s, during the second OPEC oil embargo. It went over like a lead balloon. Parents didn't want their kids walking to school, or waiting for the bus, when it was still dark at 7:30 AM.

Parents are soft these days. The buses stop every 50ft to pick up kids in front of the houses. Go forbid the kids have to walk a little to go to a school bus stop.

I don't generally go in for the "people are softer now" thing, but you are so right about the busses.

In grammar school (60s), we walked all the way. I don't know the distance but it sure seemed wicked far to a kid.

Later, in junior high and high school, we had one bus stop for the whole neighborhood. Like 20 kids got on at my stop.

Now that would be 20 individual bus stops.

It’s brutal in my town. Certain routes they stop every 50 to drop off a kid. Parents raising soft kids. I was at bus stops in the late 80s.

I misspoke when I said 60s. I was in first grade in '69 so grammar school was early 70s.

Did you have tons of people texting while driving, hit and runs, illegals driving with no licenses and people driving high on all types of drugs back when you used to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow with no shoes?

Yes, they were very good friends with my grandparents.  He passed away a few weeks ago.

Ok, I thought you might not have known.
