I think this is why I love bucktails so much.

They can imitate everything yet nothing.

Not vouching for the quality, but there is a website called temu( I think they are out of Boston, but its obviously a marketplace of Chinese stuff) and they sell those squid lures for under $3 each.

It's not a fishing website, but they actually have a ton of fishing stuff and my father has successfully ordered other things from them, so I guess they are legit.

For example, they have sabiki rigs for 89 cents, etc.

I'm thinking of ordering some of the oddball stuff from them to give it a try

Yeah I bet they would work for Black Sea bass, I bet it would work well fishing it vertically, either on the bottom or structure

No it’s pretty different.  The nomad squidtrex is a vibe bait, similar to a blade bait or rattltrap in that it wiggles and vibrates on the retrieve.

i think the noise and vibration from the bait would probably help fish find it when you’re jigging deep for sea bass, like 60 feet plus

the Lucanus jigs are cool, but it’s just a jig, whereas the squidtrex has vibration and sound, and can be used as a cast and retrieve, trolling, or vertical jigging lure.

it seems like a cool lure, I just have a hard time with the 20$ price tag on a soft bait that  probably won’t survive a run in with a bluefish

Au Contrair Mon Fraire.

These things caught countless species right here in the states.  From the Gulf, to Fla, to NJ, NY, and Cally.  Species list so far.  Black Drum, Triple Tail, Grouper, Snapper, Striper, Blue Fish, Dorado, Sea Bass, Fluke, Halibut, Cobia and all the stuff I am forgetting.
