It’s actually a 4/0 vmc. I removed the treble added a split and a swivel and then the vmc.

That is beautiful.   It's like all my favorite colors.

I saw they dropped those yesterday, they look killer my only fear is durability.

the tentacles are long and soft so I have a hard time seeing the bait holding up to bluefish very well

I think the last time I bought a lure instead of $13.99 to $16.99 they were like 3 to 5 bucks.

Could be a gold mine out in the garage :)

I like using a whole squid for bait for fluke- only a giant fluke can inhale the entire bait so it weeds out the shorts

I like to use Squid heads with the tentacles to catch Stripers..

I was eyeing the 150 size pretty hard yesterday but I made the mistake of waiting till today to buy one.

I still have some reservations about using a $20 rubber lure around bluefish. It may have to be a first 3 weeks of may type of lure

Not vouching for the quality, but there is a website called temu( I think they are out of Boston, but its obviously a marketplace of Chinese stuff) and they sell those squid lures for under $3 each.

It's not a fishing website, but they actually have a ton of fishing stuff and my father has successfully ordered other things from them, so I guess they are legit.

For example, they have sabiki rigs for 89 cents, etc.

I'm thinking of ordering some of the oddball stuff from them to give it a try

Yep, the pink and amber albi snacks are always a go to, I always bring a lighter tackle rod with an amber albie snax when the squid are in. Zinger baits has recently come out with a larger sized albie snax type lure, I’ll be trying the 7” out this spring

When the fish are blitzing on top I fish them weightless on a screw lock swimbait hook. If the fish push a little deeper I use the same, just a weighted swimbait hook.

you can also fish them on jigheads or nose hooked, sometimes I use a jigheads as it seems like the fully exposed hook gets better hookups than the swimbait hook
