Any word on how passes are going to be handled this year. Last year when i got my pass they told me there was going to be a chance they switch to a yearly pass from the 1st of January to the end of December. I was told if they do this all the passes from last year might be valid for this year so they can switch the system over. Did anyone hear anything like this?

So what happens to the pass we got last june?
is that no longer valid?

No, they explained that the pass from last june would be valid for this year. so it would go from june 2022 to december 23. That is how it was explained. people that didn't get one last year were supposed to buy one for this year that would go for all of 2023. I don't know if they are going to do it it was mentioned as a possibility.

Thanks!  I would think I'd have received an email if I had to renew. 2022 was my first time getting a pass (in March) and the renewal notifications and system seemed to work pretty good.

Received this at work the other day, as I was inquiring about permit for my new rig-

 Just a heads up.
As of December 31st, 2022 the Coastal Resources Management Council has changed the fiscal year for the Beach Vehicle Permit’s.  The new fiscal year will be every January 1st to December 31st If you have a current Beach Vehicle permit it is now valid until December 31, 2023.
On January 1st of every year the new Beach Vehicle Permits will become available.
You will be receiving a letter shortly in regards to this matter.
Thanks,
