With a day like today, I can see why they think it’s time. Anyone else seeing this?

It's not really a surprise give how mild the winter has been to this point.

After this weekend they're going to wish they had stayed underground.

Thinking of going out now for a 20 mile bike ride.  Might be the last until (the real) spring.

I am seeing it in the Long Island area actually. Pretty wild, I think the first one sprouted about 5-6 days ago and I noticed more today.

Same here in Litchfield County.

Probably gonna die Sat/Sun.   Hopefully this quick freeze kills off some ticks.

I don't think I've ever had ticks on me in Jan/Feb before.

I just read something that said that ticks are now active all year round in CT.

In RI they are starting to pop up also!  If mother nature was confused before, just wait till after this cold spell

Latest I've found any on me is early December (eastern mass).

Yeah, Jude took Hooper for a hike today and found some on him - time to get a new Soresto.

They are some of the toughest of the spring flowers and should survive the cold snap.

The area I hunt and dog train ( Ridgefield Redding) is loaded with ticks. So much so there are signs along the road warning it is a high tick area.   I have white dogs, so that after a hunt it looks like pepper on the dogs. Time of year doesn’t matter. We hunt through Feb. Train and field trial Starting in March. These ticks never go away.
Dogs are sprayed before crated. Then bath at home.
All it takes is that one tick crawling on me and I have the heebie jeebies all day.

Bulbs here Southern CT are crocuses Through the years the squirrels have done a great job of transplanting them all over

my yard. There are enough of them that I have to run them over with the lawnmower to get started on spring yard chores
