Retro Eyes—Source?

Aside from Salty’s is there someplace to get the retro yellow/black eyes that were used by plug builders back in the day? $11 to ship $4 worth of eyes is just crazy. Not looking for the old slip transfer ones-just stickers that look the same.  Thanks

Yea get in touch with Lonell, he worked for a print shop that can print up sheets for you in a couple sizes on sticker backed Vinyl. I have a sheet or so left if you can't get any and need some

The old Meyercord water slide decal eyes are harder to find then hen's teeth.

I don't know if it's true or not but Jack Frech told me the Meyercord "eye" water slide decals original use was on Revell military plastic airplane models.

Ssteve,

I would not doubt that at all because of the nature of the Meyercord decal business.  I really cannot imagine that they made eyes for lure making intentionally. They produced some of those incredible decals that were once applied to furniture, really nice stuff, real art.. I think that blind Danny's first came about because  the eyes were washing off of plugs. That said, I still like the classic look! They make a special fixative for decals after they are applied that helps keep them on.

Stay safe and well,

Ted
