Ie: A Revo 13 is now $3400. And I’m not seeing Turbo fins or sailing rudder included lol. OT has increased theirs as well. Probably across the board..

Glad I bought when I did. I paid $1300 for my OT salty in 2021 (with an employee discount, I think they were $1900 retail at the time) and they're selling for $2450 now...

OT MAP Pricing  went up $250-$350 depending on the unit.  Some dealers are still honoring 2022 pricing, but very soon will not be able to advertise the old prices.

The Revolution price has almost doubled in 12 yrs., partly from the newer drives and seats. If my well used 2011 sank tomorrow, it wouldn’t owe me anything.

I'm still fishing out of my 2013 Outback.  I think I paid $1,700 for it.  Every once in a while I think about replacing it, but then I remind myself that getting a new kayak isn't going to make me catch more fish and isn't going let me get out on the water more.

There is an upper price limit at which a kayak no longer makes sense for tons of different fishing applications.  I think $5000 is that limit.

 

I'm seeing kayaks on trailers with bow mounted trollers and stern mounted outboards.  That's boat time.

The pro anglers are bass kayaks. People rig them with a million dollars worth of electronics, head out with 40 tackle boxes and 200 rods. $5k or $5500 doesn't matter much in the long run.

 

For the average inshore/calm day a mile out guy, I feel like most people are hesitant to spend over $3000 on a bare kayak. People who eventually got an outback were sticker shocked at $3400 unless they were very serious. Approaching $4k is definitely going to hurt sales.

 

Then hobie does stupid stuff, like offer the passport, but will not let you upgrade to a 180 drive. Or if you want a rudder that works, it's $300 more.

Old Town is lifetime on the hull and 5 years on the pdl system.

Crazy. I paid $3100 for an outback in 2021 and $3000 for a lynx last year.

Don't forgot that the lynx was $2600 when it came out and went to to $3000 early/mid last year.
