Sorry if it’s a repeat topic but brief search didn’t pop anything. Where can I drop my van staal for service over the off season in ocean county? Thanks

I will never again drop my reel off at fisherman’s headquarters. I had to bring it to saltwater edge. And they asked me who the heck worked on this. Never never again

anyone in Monmouth County carry parts?  I have a vr150 I'd rather service myself.  needs seals, AR bearing and main bearing.

Reel Seat in Brielle used to repair Vr's. They no longer do, but worth a call to see if they have some parts laying around.

thank you, I asked them on FB the other day and they said no they don't service VS anymore.

I found the seal kit on Betty and Nick's ebay page so I'll call John and see if he has the bearings I need too.  might be worth a trip down there.

If you are going to send it in for work you had better act fast, The shops are gonna be flooded with all the defective VSX2's that were sold over the past 6 month's!

Main problem is the rotor arm shredding the braid when taking drag.

There are about 10 pages of comment in the Main Forum.

Repair the VR yourself and hold onto it like grim death! LOL  The VR is the only reel VS makes now that's fishable.

The bearing could be gotten at McMaster Carr there in Robbinsville NJ just off rt 195

And no parts available, last I was told. My 250X2 lasted one noreaster and one normal tide. It was only about 6 or 7 hours of fishing and locked up. Haven't seen it since
