I’ve been searching the recreation.gov site for the link to apply for the next year Sandy Hook night fishing permit. But I can’t find a single link. Does anybody have a specific link? Call me dumb or whatever but I need help.

Google gateway nation park permit.  If I find the exact site I'll send it , seems like they are only issuing these permits beginning of March nowadays

I kept going back and forth but it's been 10-15 years since I last got a night pass there.   Amazing it's still $50 after this many years.

Your vehicle is safer there at night than any of the outback secluded parking areas along the bayshore.   there are few escape routes for the nightcrawlers to avoid the rangers at night, when the park is relatively empty as the tempetures drop. Common sense prevails, so keep doors locked and leave valuables at home. This is New Jersey and integrity is in short supply everywhere.

Is your vehicle safe there at night?  With all the crime lately?

FWIW, never had my car broken in in all the years I fished nights there.  But then I only took what I used so car was usually pretty empty but still kept the doors locked.

I think cars are relatively safe there. However, I have seen evidence of overnight "guests" in certain places closer to the front gate. As above I only bring what I need for the night with me and don't have a bunch of crap laying around in the back of the vehicle, etc.
