I once had one......for 1 cast

the bail flipped over on my first cast with it (Penn Slammer)

sending it into the Stratosphere,,,,,,,,,

Very nice find. Cast it across current and just reel enough to keep contact with it. Let the current work the lure as it swings back to directly downstream from you. Let it sit there for several seconds. retrieve slowly. That little lure will take very large bass at times.

I loved my slammer except for the auto bail close. I pull that out of any reel that has it

I did that AFTER I lost the lure...........

That was one of the early Mag Darters in production....

Think it was around $30.00  !!!

Slammers have automatic bail????

Even a manual bail can flip over if enough force it put into a cast. It took a few years, but I finally saw someone do it to a Saltiga Dogfight. Up until then I would have said it was impossible.

Did somepne make a knockoff of the Mag Darter like the Magic Swimmers?
Reason I ask is the Yozuris I’ve seen have orage chins and they say Yozuri on the back.
Looking at it on my phone it looks like this one doesn’t.
I could be wrong, just an observation.

Yup, that's happened to me many times.  I find that each reel has a sweet spot at where to flip it back and not have it prematurely flip during a cast.

Entirely possible.  I have knock-offs of some other lures.

Actually, the little ones are also made by Duel, but Yozuri owns them.  Subtle differences in looks.
