We are lookin at mid to late Nov now.  I know there should still be some small fish biting close to shore, but are the big guys gone to deeper water already? Meaning too late to catch some nice keeper from shore now? Thanks

Find deep water areas close to shore at the mouth of the bay for a chance at larger tog.

I went out the weekend before last , there were several keepers caught by the guy next to me. I lost a good one in the rocks and caught a bunch of 15 1/2" fish.

This was before the cold snap but it can't hurt to try.

 Mouth of the bay area.

Most are in deeper waters now, but you might get lucky and get some stragglers here and there. I was told there's still some keepers at beaver tail if you're  willing to battle the cold.

There's a few prime rocky places in the bay that still may hold a few tog because the water might be five degrees warmer than the ocean. Ocean locations like Beavertail still are good.

To get to deeper water from fishing on shore, try places like Castle Light.

There the water may be as deep as 150 feet deep, you just find and fish on the slopes as the depth requires.

How cold (water temp) will the fish stay here until? Thinking of a small window on thanksgiving going out, but wasn't sure if it's worth the time/gas (160miles round trip). Who still sells crabs this late?

Best bet for tog success might be one of the head boats out of Galilee.

There's one across in Jerusalem called the Island .... something.

The Bounty Hunter is running out of Newport from Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina.  Quickest ride to the tog grounds.

It will certainly up the odds more in your favor to have something to put on the plate.

Just think, you don't have to look all around for crabs now. :point:
