Right handed, but I use left hand reels on spinning and conventional.

Same here. I want my dominant hand on the rod.

I cast right handed with both types of reels, too. I see people casting right handed with right hand conventionals, then have to switch hands to reel. Never made much sense to me.

I'm right handed. I use my left to reel spinning reels and have several from each side on conventionals.

Yup, lefty here. Cast conventional and spinning with my left had. Handle always on my right. Agreed, switching hands just seems odd.
When are the upside down reelers going to chime in.

I always reel with my left on spinning and use left handed conventionals.

I only have one right handed round reel, a penn 930. Was the first one I bought and that made the decision to go left handed easier.

Right handed. Left hand on spinners, right hand on conventional, except I like a lefty baitcaster for fishing search baits like spoons, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits etc.  No hand change.  Just fire and reel. Right hand on the fly reel.

Right handed, but fairly ambidextrous.

Spinners I cast right, reel left.

Conventional I cast right, reel right, but I find myself casting left more and more often.

i guess with surf casting for a right hand guy , the handle on the left keeps it away from the body when doing powerful casts

It was so you didn't have to switch hands on the rod after the cast. ;)

Left handed spinning for me, left handed for most fly fishing species, but I like my fly reel for bone fishing right handed retrieve.

Which hand do you use to reel in

I am right handed..

Wth conventionals i use my right

With spinners i use my left

not sure why that is, it just feels strange reeling with my right with a spinner

I'm right handed for most of most things but I use my left where most people that are right handEd would use their right.

When it comes to fishing I don't use spinners at all and with conventional I use either one, depends on the reel if I like it and it's left hand retrieve only I'll buy it and use it.
