Curious as to how DEC would investigate and possibly punish this... is it provable that they were over their limit? Isn't it illegal to give someone else fish while on the water like that?

These guys have some some horrendous C&R videos.  Overslot bass sitting on the deck, dorsal fin flat, barely moving, and throwing them over the side like its nothing.

I can't say never, but almost never a boat that I've been on where derelict behavior was outside the accepted norm of business as usual, either by crew/captain or clients.

this stuff is rampant and the norm

people need to wake  up to what is really happening

Every time boats see us releasing fish wether it be tuna or bass they approach us and ask why we are letting them go and if they ncan have them

they do not care about size or how many they can keep

stop the harvesting of all bass across the board

Like i have said here before i grew up on a Marina and living in a house with a jetty in the front yard and what people do when no one thinks people are looking is horrific and appalling

everyone thinks there are so many sportsman out there …..there’s not …….. these guys are even brazen enough to post stuff on social media

(Wow, these guys are without honor and have no respect, imagine how they treat people.)

Wow, these guys are definitely without honor and have no respect for anything, imagine how they treat people.

In NY there are only a few DEC officers to cover the entire Island. The bulk of them are upstate, it's hunting season. Easier to catch poachers in state allotted hunting grounds. Way under funded agency of the state.

The DEC is a sham organization that exists only to protect a dumb bird that nests on the beach.

Those birds own more expensive shorefront real estate than any of us ever will.

I shake my head when I see the beach littered with hardheads, sailcats and pesky sharks.......that makes me want to shake their heads with something semi heavy.

Losers.
Unfortunately fishing seems to attract a lot them.

Those "people" are complete trash and THEY should be thrown overboard.  They're boats and gear should be impounded.

That said, anyone asking me for a fish that I catch, I'll tell them to go catch their own.  "What about people who can't afford fishing gear?" - Walmart and Dick's have all sorts of cheap stuff to get out and catch / keep a LEGAL fish.  Screw these a$$holes, they're garbage.
