In MA, they regularly clear cut land for Solar Farms.

Well, that's stupid.

Around here they use hay fields.

I don't see any destruction?

Acres  of prime Maine farm land has been destroyed for solar  farms .. so much so that many of the towns have put a moratorium on them .. never mind there hideous to look at .. comparably speaking to a forest or hay field

You need to set Carlezon straight. He said it was me who introduced politics into a thread about solar energy.

The flow of traffic was going great until you started flapping ..  always a rubber neck

CNN made it political in the article amd Progs tout the greatness of Solar Farms. Nothing in the OP was out of line.

I'm also pretty sure this forum is called POLITICAL GRAFFITI.

Thousands of acres of farmland and forest turned into government subsidized solar deserts in Upstate NY.  I cannot think of a single more obvious condemation of Prog stupidity than solar farms.

And this was my simple point, which seemingly only a few get apparently. Even WooWoo saying they use hayfields, like that land is better used for anything other than a Solar Farm. Open land should be protected like crazy in America.

Maybe you can grow mushrooms under solar panels.  They’re worth next to nothing as far as nutrition is concerned, but they’re damn tasty.

Plants and solar panels are competing for the same thing.....sunlight.  If we are to eliminate oil and nukes AND go vegan, there isn't enough square miles of land in the USA to do both.  Are we gonna invade, conquer, and exterminate others to take their land again ???
