Delmarva Fishin' Reports - October 2022

As always, this is the place for your reports... as little or as much detail as you care to share, with hopefully a good bit less focus posted on exact spots, times, and locations. Any and all word from the local waters welcome here, and "no fish" reports are welcome as well; always good to have gotten out there at least, wasn't it?

;)

Lets hope October is as good or better than September, minus the weather

So what’s the “post-storm” plan?  Looks like a west wind by the end of the week. I’m hoping that will help offset the full moon that’s also coming up next weekend to improve conditions enough to open the OSV zone back up.

I agree. The fish are there. Just need to get in the water and hold.

Finding fresh bait might be an issue tho..

Anybody have any photo's of the OSV right now? Gonna assume that it looks like it did early last month.

This is the beach at the walkover above the OSV entrance from about 1:30pm today.    Way more miserable than the picture looks.

Hey rich. Honestly all considering the beating its been getting that looks promising. If that was around 1:30 today that would've been just at or around high tide. That Honestly looks better than I would've thought. Here's to the island holding up for a few more days.

Hey Dave

Just gonna have to wait it out now.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  Gonna fish out back if the wind lets up.

I think by Wed more likely Thursday we will know something. I gotta do some vehicle maintenance  tomorrow or Tuesday but I'll be down that way. Get up with me we can work out details.

Thanks for the update. I hope it doesn't get any worse. Hoping I can get my first big bull this year God willing. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out. Tight lines to everybody.

Checked out the surf at 12th st in OC around 9am today.  Way more wild surf this morning with strong sustained 25-30mph winds.   Also noted large combers and and breakers about 1 mile offshore that I didn't see day before at AI but likely just a difference in bottom structure.  Inlet closed to public this morning as well - always like to check out inlet during storms. Try to get some pics tomorrow .

I have just been shaking my head watching the ocsurfcam,  midtown is getting pummeled, can barely see the pilings.

Been watching the cams too. The sweep and sideways waves going under the pier is insane. Surprised it’s still standing.
