Bunker and sluggos. The natural bait section was a tough choice for me though. Sand fleas have caught me as many bass as bunker has. But I think bunker is more versatile. You can cut it up and chunk it, or live line peanuts. And, of course, sand fleas can’t swim away in a panic that bass love like a little bunker can.

No bunker or eels on the left coast so I would have to go with soft shelled sand crabs (haven't used bait in decades, tho) and a six inch slug-go on a 1/2 oz. Kalin ultimate jig head.

This Wednesday it was sand eels on a high low rig and an ABB soft plastic for stripers, last day of beach fishing for me today pics to follow.

Definitely blueback herring(u never said legal lol) and a 5-6” Lunker City Ice Shad w/ 1oz head!

If it has to be a legal bait, then without a doubt, it would be shedder crab!
