Bergen county bone fish, I mean carp on a six weight fly rod, blues off the beech, jacks of the beech , stripers , rays off the beech, fluke off the beech .forgot albies of the beech . I don’t keep anything just in it for the tug on the end of the line and the distance casting …lol lol lol

This is going to sound really sad, but for some reason I really enjoy the days when I catch a lot of good sized perch on the fly rod.

 

Like I'll actively pull the flies away from other panfish charging for them and try to just get the perch.

Small inshore/shore fishable tunoids - albies lead the pack, but any shore bound tunoid/mac (bonito, spanish macs, etc) will do. In fact, while I'd prefer mature sized game fish over atlantic/chub and bullet mackerel, I would prefer to fish for these mackerels over smaller schoolie stripers or snapper/cocktail blues...stripers, snook, american shad are next in that order. After that, if it eats a fly, it's ok in my book
