Not a mullet, the mouth is wrong and the eyes are too far from the mouth. Mullet are more streamlined in shape. It has stripes, but definitely is not a small striper. The mouth look kind of long if you know what I mean. I’m not familiar with the waters of NY so it could be something that’s up there but not down here so much (MD). I’m sure somebody else knows more than I.

White Bass I believe. 
 

About as close to the cliche answer of White Perch as you can get.

Looks like a joke to me, it looks like 2 halves of 2 diff fish placed together.

Not saying the OP is trying to check us but, look closer where the cut is.

I say front half is small bass, the back half is bunker. 

My disclaimer is I have been wrong 3 times in my life,,, lol

Not too sure.  Gut tells me baby striper, but the mouth is too small and there shouldn't be any stripes below the pectoral fin.  Might be a mullet, damned if I know for sure...
