Questions on installing a sounder

3 posts in this topic

I'me putting in a sounder in my out back kayak.  Is there a way to see if power is getting through.  I want to figure out where the breaks are in the wires.  The fuse box got wet and I wonder if it still works.  Thanks I am a terrible electrical worker.

Continuity test function on a multimeter will work if both ends of the + and - are accessible.

or hook it up to a known source of 12 VDC power ie: battery pack, check voltage at the other end

Go5 the sounder running now for the installation of the transducer.  I want to use a yack attack mount.  Only problem, it’s in a place I can’t reach.  Is it better to use blind ri it’s or we’ll nuts.
