But yet, you never call out Biden who is a bigger con man Grifter than pretty much anyone. It's bizarre how you don't think you're a hypocritical dick.

The disaster is becoming evidence as the blowback increases across the political divide.

First, Newsweek is leaked from two government sources that the raid was based on a CI who supposedly knew what docs were in ML and where they were. The problem with that story is such specificity makes a 6+ hour search across the compound a bit ridiculous, especially if it included the Trumps' private rooms which no CI likely had access. These planned leaks sound like but covering but the curious thing is that the leaks are being attributed to those inside the DoJ.

This gets to the second bit, that the DOJ source mentioned below is already saying the raid backfired, which can be translated to mean they didn't find any smoking guns. So that is leading to DoJ doing damage control saying that Garland was NOT in the loop on raid and did not approve it. But there were DoJ lawyers on site during the search, did they go without their boss' approval?

OUT ON A LIMB: DOJ source calls raid a ‘spectacular backfire,’ claims AG Garland didn’t approve it.

The story concludes with another big revelation. It claims that AG Merrick Garland was being updated on the National Archives investigation and knew about the grand jury but did not approve the search Monday. Newsweek’s source claims Garland had “no prior knowledge” of the time of the raid. Instead it was FBI Director Christopher Wray who approved the search. Finally, the source adds, “It really is a case of the Bureau misreading the impact.”

This is a lot of new information but I think the big take-aways are that this had nothing to do with Jan. 6 and that these DOJ sources are now feeling a lot of pressure, enough that they are a) trying to explain themselves and b) blaming the “spectacular backfire” on the FBI and the US Attorney while trying to insulate AG Garland from the blowback.

And now more is being disclosed about the National Archivist, who is both retiring and a Trump-hater.

So for all the snark above, looks like this will be another case of blue balls and did nothing but helped strengthen Trump's position (sadly)

Spaz is all in on the defense. I expect lots more C&Ps over the coming days.

So now the DoJ is trying to blame FBI for this turd and insulate Garland from any repercussions. My guess is there is nothing important in those 12 boxes so someone has to become the fall guy. Poor Wray.

As I have said before, lefties are quite challenged on "reading the room" and understanding how blowback works.

I know, you aren’t a Leftie, yet you suffer from that same shortcoming.

Report: FBI Raided Mar-A-Lago After Tip That Parents Were Protesting A School Board Meeting There

PALM BEACH, FL — Amid mounting accusations of attempting to intimidate former President Trump from running for re-election in 2024, Attorney General Merrick Garland explained today that when the FBI was tipped off about a school board protest at Mar-A-Lago, they mobilized without delay to quell the rising threat of concerned parents.

"When we received an anonymous tip that parents were assembling to criticize public school curriculum and policy, we sprung into action – we should have confirmed the veracity, but didn't want to risk any of these potential terrorists escaping." Garland spoke at a press conference today, adding "We take these threats very seriously."

Garland's Department of Justice came under fire last year for ordering the counter-terrorism division of the FBI to track parents who question pornographic reading assignments, but he reiterated that parents represent a violent extremist group during press questions. "The tip included reports of parents weighing in on their children's education. In light of this menace, I directed the FBI to pull resources from investigations into MS-13, jihadists, and Antifa immediately."

When pressed on why he sent 30 agents to Florida to quell a small protest of moms and dads, Garland stressed the immediacy of the danger: "We've seen disturbing news reports of parents reading vile pornographic material at school board meetings. These are clear instances of harassment and intimidation – we wouldn't want any school boards to be exposed to such filth, as we reserve it only for young children who need to learn inclusivity."

When asked if the Justice Department and FBI would enforce the federal law against protesting at Supreme Court Justices' houses or investigate Hunter Biden's 10% kickbacks to "the big guy" for business deals with Chinese energy companies, Garland ended the press conference, motioning for an aide to note which journalists asked the questions so the IRS could audit them next tax season.

Yeesh. I don’t envy that guy. I’ve got to assume he’s going to unseal it to take the heat off himself. It’s probably best anyway.

The judge should unseal it, and I hope he does. Everyone should hope he does.

Except Trump apparently, since he could release his copy but hasn't.
