I noticed this surf rack of Craigslist,  how hard are they to mount?  Seems kind of pricey, but I recall the name.  Any help welcome, thx! *

As much as they want for used ones these days you might as well have Gene make you a new one.

Any idea ( ballpark) what they go for new?   I agree,  seem expensive, but they are still listed, so everyone must agree, they are asking too much!  Thanks!

To bad you missed this one:

But to answer your question give Gene a call and find out, pricing is dependent on what you want:

If your after a basic rack with rod holders designed for a bait cooler (50'ish quart), may want to look at Platinum products. If you need all the bells and whistles or to haul multiple 120 qt coolers, buckets, sandspikes, multiple frame mounts, then custom like Reynolds is the go to.

whatever product or vendor you decide upon, i would shy away from any single pole or support system for the front.  there should be two receivers on or at each frame point in the front.

That's the one that I picked up!  It has totally changed how easy setup and breakdown is.  I added a cutting board and new mounts from Gene and haven't looked back. Gaff It is a good guy as well.

My sons Jeep but double receivers are good for support as said.

Even better if they're 2" 1/4 wall aluminum.

You need a rack with double mounts so it can survive those ruts by the entrance.

The ruts are a beast sometimes with the truck bouncing around. I think anything over an 80 quart cooler needs a dual hitch.

I carry a dual supported rack that holds a 120qt.cooler with 50lbs.of bait, 60 lbs.of ice and whatever. Pretty solid.
