Bass Pro Shop

Recently risked life and limb taking a ride to Bridgeport Bass Pro Shop. And came home empty handed. They were wiped out

Entire aisles bare. I asked a worker what was up with that. Was told supply chain issues and not enough employees to restock what was available. This past week was in Scarborough Maine. Stopped at Cabelas. Not as bad but still a lot of stuff sold out.

Don’t know how long that Bridgeport store can last the way it has been going.

Most times it has been a ghost town and low inventory.
Seems they pushed a lot of smaller stores out and then don’t have anything to sell.
So now where does one go to feed our addiction?

The glass case for saltwater reels up in Foxboro has two Shimano Stellas, one Twin Power, and the rest of the case was filled with bass pro baseball caps for sale...looked like everyone wiped out the affordable reels, leaving the handful of expensive reels behind...lol

Unfortunately Cabela's has pretty much sucked since they were bought out.  The store in Hartford sucked even before the pandemic.

Why did you almost pass out from the heat?

Used to love stopping at Cabalas when ever on a road trip. Would even overnight w/ the camper to stage a good run south. Bass pro can suck it.

I got a bunch of giftcards too.   Just end up buyin crap I don't really need.

I miss Newtown B&T.  That was a cool lil shop. Not too many shops around me anymore.

I still have to check out the shop in Thomaston.

Yeah I never had any problem going there.

I know that area intimately.
Ever go down there and play “dodge the dirt bikes”?  Or see the crack dealers working the streets? Those surrounding streets are all controlled by the gangs.
That area probably ranks second to the area around the Greens for potential risk.

There's never been any problem that I've heard of anybody who's been shopping at Bass Pro Shop so why defame people in the neighborhood? Unless you have an ulterior motive. Sort of like talking about the people who use Sherwood Island on a holiday or a Sunday

It was me. My apologies. I thought we could lock our own threads. Wanted to avoid a flame war.
Again. Apologies
