Juno Beach Saturday morning. Sometime in past couple of nights, a turtle explosion happened and the turtles made their way to the ocean. Due to weeks of steady Easterlies, wave action has eroded sand and exposed a significant coral shelf that is normally buried. First photo is the nest, second shows the baby turtles' flipper marks in the sand. And the last shows the drop those little guys and gals had to survive, hopefully more successful than the proverbial lemmings. If i did my tide math right, they likely fell into a bit of water on that sand at zero-dark-thirty.

DogDays of summer means the Atlantic City Airshow.  Really wish they'd move this event to late September or October.  There was so much haze and heat distortion yesterday.  Here is a sample of some of my shots from yesterday.

So I happened to notice my squatter had vacated the cocoon. It wasn't moving so I pretty much thought well so much for seeing what it would turn out to be. This morning I took it down surprised to see it did hatch. I'd be lying to say I wasn't disappointed, but I was glad to have the jar back.

We got hammered yesterday with thunderstorms and took a few pics of left over rain in the garden,
