Bunch of years ago had one swim past me standing in the surf on a south shore L.I. beach. Thought I was a goner, almost crapped my shorts.

Haven’t seen one since.

Seen a half dozen or so off RI this year.  I love those stupid things.

Last year there was a nasty east wind for a couple days in september, i saw 3 or 4 of them drift in through the manasquan inlet in NJ... Pretty strong incoming tide pushed them way into the river. They looked so goofy and helpless, I always hoped they made their way back out.

Saw 3 last year here in Maine. We see them thinking they are whale tails,

There's a pretty funny video out there with a mola mola.  I'm sure many here have seen it.

None yet for me - however, pretty much all the mola I'm fortunately to see are a late summer/early fall experience in the cape cod canal...so that time's coming
