I hope you all have a great end-of-season and healthy off time until May.  While I would ordinarily go until the middle of October, fishing from the shore is slow, and by this time of year my back is usually bad.  For some reason, the back is good and I don't want to push my luck, so I am calling it quits for what was a decent June and July, followed by an awful August and September.

I have the same sentiments Marty. This past July was probably the best July I’ve had in 10 years.

Don't pull the plug just yet. Fished from yak yesterday north of Portland. Only 2 fish but one was 40"

I’ll be keeping at it until late October. I’m in no hurry to start the off season.

I pulled my boat early because I had a busy September and have been disappointed to miss the great striper action.  I feel better now.  This was earlier in the week in Van Buren, ME.

Nailed it Marty.  Best June and July since I moved here 20 plus years ago.  Then not a fish to be found.

Today was my last day, fished 2 places from 5am in 40 degree weather and nada for me and other guys fishing lures, bait or fly rod . There’s still fish for boaters in 10-25 of water. As others said great June, July and 1st week of August, Time to fish tidal trout. Last year headed to Fl. This week, sold that in March . No reports if the Mobil homes and Modular’s exist in Bokeelia. Tightlines still be on talking
