Anyone heading out to fish the “super moon” tonight? Was out last night and got skunked. Clear skies and the moon was like a giant spotlight. Not even a tap. Hoping the big moon plus cloud cover/crappy weather we’re getting turns them on tonight.

I'll be out there...about 3 to 4 hrs south of Maine. :bucktooth:

The supermoon tides really are wild—low was extremely low last night. Good luck!

How has the seaweed been in southern Maine?

Mostly better, but pretty thick last night. I think from the moon tide.

Great. Haha. I’m gonna be in OOB for two weeks starting Sunday.

3 jigs of the bucktail and reel in to clean off a pound of weed some mornings.. amazing that I’m still catching despite the damn seaweed. Different spots are obviously better than others.

Yep. Last night was brutal. Left after an hour and went back to sleep. Didn’t wake up at 2am to fight with weed all night. Going to scope out a spot this evening that is usually cleaner to see if it’s alright. I can’t seem to figure out a full moon bite anyway so that coupled with the weeds and it’s a bit like pounding my head against the wall.

Yeah fumbling with seaweed when you can’t see super well is not the move

Not Maine, but couldn't buy a hit last night. Knew I was in trouble when I didn't see a speck of bait and then a big gray seal showed up 30 ft in front of me. He didn't get anything either. :bucktooth:

Seaweed still bad on the beach in southern Maine?

Haven’t been out for a few days. Headed out tonight, hoping it’s better now the the full moon is on the way out.

Give us a report when you get back. I’m going regardless this weekend but it’s always nice to know beforehand what to expect.

Just came back.  No seaweed, but also no hits.  First time I’ve been completely skunked not even a bite.
