A couple oif years ago, I'd say a 1/2 oz. Gibbs Pencil Popper, but it seems that they've stopped making them.

Hook hangars are a joke on the zaras!

Jumpin' minnow or Heddon one knocker.

The Rebel Jumpin Minnow in Bone pattern  has taken the striped bass fishery by storm for the past 15 years or so.  Amazing ability to draw strikes when all other artificials are ignored.

I'd go with the Spook to.  I've got them in various sizes, including some small ones, but they're made for ultra-light tackle.

Fly Rod, I've got some small crease flies,  about two inches long that would do the job.

I am thinking of tying a larger version of these on a long shank hook for when the blues show.  Use a old chip bag.

Eta could have used these the other day.  Only had a few plastics and some really nice teasers on me.  Did not think it thru before hand.  Didn't hook a single blue last year.
