Definition of theocracy

1: government of a state by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided

2: a state governed by a theocracy.

 

Are we now that?

 

Have we ever been?

 

Or, were we always that?

 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Actually in all their wisdom, the founders made it clear in the first amendment that there would be no government religion nor could they deny anyone's right to worship.

When our forefather's wrote the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, I do believe they had divine guidance.

 

Today, our government is far from it. The ramifications in our current society are blatantly obvious.

Iran operates as a Theocracy.

 

The United Sates is not a theocracy....  yet

 

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”

We are a republic that cannot interfere with the an individual’s right to religious freedom.  However, that doesn’t stop the government from doing it.  The so-call separation of church and state decision that made it illegal for christians and jews to practice their religious rites in public schools yet oddly at the same time mandates that public school set aside space to allow Muslim students to pray is one fine example.  Another is schools are required to allow those who practice witchcraft and/or who worship satan space but at the same time ban anything even closely related to Judeo-Christian principles is completely forbidden.  Or Planned Parenthood is allow to roam the schools freely but anyone opposing abortion on demand must be kept out?  Obama and his ACA that forced our religious to pay for contraceptives and abortions even though it violated their religious principles.  What about churches where it’s illegal to talk politics from the pulpit but perfectly okay to so just as long as the government approves of their message?  For our so-called separation of church and state the government sure is butting it’s head into it alot!

The realization that God exists has nothing to do with government... God has created his kingdom where rights and freedoms exist in a society that has morality, character, and values. What we're now seeing is Satan and his demons using people to create doubt and mistrust... follow them at your own peril.

Yet Obama created a State religion when he began dictating to the religious on what they could and could not do!

You and Boebert have the same problem. You have to have a reason to support your assertion.

 

banning the establishment of a state religion doesn't make us not a theocracy
