Look on line , Jersey has a chit load of piers to fish from. Look them up in the area you want to go to.

I nominate this as the most helpful and informative post of the year.

I wouldn't say there are a **** load of piers in NJ, but there are a few. Keansburg has one on the Raritan. Then I don't believe there are ANY piers on the Atlantic Ocean side until you get to Ventnor in South Jersey, and that's really only because Ventnor has no fishing on the beach so they get you to pay at the pier. Ocean City has a pier that's exclusive for the OC fishing club, so no public access. Then Avalon has a fishing pier and... that's it for NJ.

There are lots of inlets with rock jetties on them though which will be fished nearly all year long in the northern part of the coast. I would look at those too for wherever you are thinking about fishing.

Decide on an area you're interested in and locate a B&T. Ask them what's biting. Buy what they suggest and they'll point you in the right direction. Good luck :th:

High Street Municipal Fishing Pier, Perth Amboy.

Nearby is the American Pride Bait and Tackle Shop.

You can also try Avon by The Sea Municipal Marina.
