What month is best for this? I'm planning to rent an air bnb in Sébastien next summer for a month, but I am not sure if I should go in June or July.

This was mid  October to March 10th, Sebastian snook are different in times and habits to these. This area is all year with a slight slowdown in  January  and February only if cold

I'm not a pier guy, but if we had fish like that here, I would become one... Those are some great catches... I've only caught a few snook, but they are one of my all time favorites.. Nice...

Next to the canal, Sebastian is my favorite place on earth.

I only know about it from YouTube and Google maps. I've been dying to spend time there fishing. If you could go for a month, which month would you choose to go?

If you plan to catch and eat pay attention to the closed season. I was @ Sebastians the last week in May it closed

June 1 thru end of Aug and then again Dec 15 thru end of Jan  Again C&R is fine.  Do not forget to fish the beach surf next to the inlet especially early morning and late evening high tides.  Be sure to have a longisg pole net and be careful on the rocks the water thru the pass is moving.  Fall in you'll be thru the 1/4  mile pass in a minute.

Here's this year's seasons calendar chart for the East Coast it"s a pdf download.

May is my favorite time. Fishing is great at Sebastian and it’s before canal fishing gets going.

I deer hunt in the fall, but fishing Sebastian is good then as well.

I'm sure you follow the C/R rules during the closed season.  I 've fished SWFL for 20years and love the fishery. At least FL has good laws regarding the game fish population, wish Stripers had the same protection. You've got a great spot there, great fishing report.

I'll be experiencing some SW FL in about a week and a half...although I won't be too far from the pine island area (my mom lives in N FT Myers, about a stone's throw from Cape Coral), I typically take the drive north to Venice, But I'll be sure to head west on Pine Island road and see what I can find

Pine Island and the northern end which is Bokeelia is a awesome. The pier and all waters are a super 12 month fishery. Kayack fishing, skiffs or heading out Boca Grande pass for tarpon, permit and goliaths. The pier speaks for itself. An aquarium of sport fish for anyone.

Last time down (in March) wasn't really a fishing trip, but did get a little fishing. I didn't make it all the way out on Pine Island, but did dabble around a bit at a small village called Matlacha (which I only found out on my last day down there is actually procounced 'Mat-La-Shay',,,lol)...Only managed a handful of small jacks. I was fishing some small bat park adjacent to a bridge...but it looked awfully fishing, and a couple of the locals (including one guy formerly of MA) mentioned it was a down period for that area...I'm usually a summertime visitor since that's when snook typically find the beaches and become easy fly rod targets (they're out of season to keep, but I wouldn't keep them regardless)
