Ukraine?

I wouldn't doubt for an instant that Ukraine and Russia are both suffering horrific casualties around Bakhmut. Trench war is always a grinding contest. Who is suffering more is a different question. Russian recruits are coming to battle with minimal training, minimal equipment, and some are complaining that they've had to buy their own cold-weather clothing. I see today that Putin said that the Russian Army is not short of manpower, and no further drafts will be needed to support the special military operation. I take that to mean that the Russian Army is short of manpower, and a further draft will be forthcoming. Hundreds of thousands of Russians fled the first draft. I wonder how many more will flee, when the next one is announced.

Putin was happy to agree that Russia is targeting civilian power infrastructure. What a great way to root out Nazis, turn off the light and heat. Nazis can't take it, but ordinary citizens - the people that Putin is purportedly liberating from Zelensky, that Jewish Nazi - will be fine. They probably won't mind freezing at all.

Exactement! From yesterday news:

According to Vladimir Putin, Ukraine will have to pay large compensation to the Donbass for the years of genocide, which continues now. The neo-Nazi regime, according to the head of state, inflicted unprecedented damage on Donbass, both in the form of human losses and in material terms. “I think that when the special operation is over and we win, everyone will be held accountable for their “behavior.” By that time we will have the most trained and hardened army in Europe! And we are talking about very serious amounts of compensation."

Will Poland be divided again?

That depends on how long Russia's well-trained and hardened army continues to be tied in knots by the Ukrainians. Putin hasn't been specific about Poland, as he has been about the Baltic States, but he might very well want the Suwalki Corridor, so Russia gets a direct land connection to Kaliningrad. But ..... the Poles would fight. Oh, would they fight, and they're better equipped to do so then the Ukrainians at the start of the February invasion. And Poland is in NATO, with lots of land borders with other NATO nations. Easy to supply, easy to support.

Eryv, I believe you've claimed to be a professor at some American university. So, as a student of history, you'll be familiar with the idea of the "correlation of forces." Right now, Russia's Army is incapable of doing more than holding its' own in heavily fortified areas behind river lines. It remains to be seen if the Army can hang on even in those circumstances. The "most trained and battle-hardened Army in Europe?" No, it'll be the most exhausted, under-equipped and dispirited Army in Europe. And by the time this is done, which Putin has acknowledged could be a long time (meaning years, I think) the correlation of forces will have shifted radically against Russia. Every nation in Europe is raising military spending. Every nation in Europe is working, with some success, to find alternate sources of energy. The correlation of forces is shifting inexorably against Russia.

I think Poland is pretty safe. The nomenklatura under Putin isn't going to force him to drop this war ..... yet ..... but it won't let him beat Russia's head against any further walls. Even if he had broad political support for recovering the Baltics, or a slice of Poland, it'll be years after the Ukraine war is over before the Army is in shape for anything.

Ukraine is defending not just itself, but all of Europe. How about that?

Well, lets see if a cursory search confirms this...

Oh chit, "eryv" lied again. Who's shocked?

AIDS-infested russians seem to be listed right after their african brethren, before Ukraine and let alone USA. To think that backwards chithole compares to the US is comical. Russians have been consuming krokodil and rampant prostitution, of course they are  in this sad state now. Gay sex in military and prisons is rampant in Russia, Ukrainians call them "fag-ts" in every war video. And this is official stats, we know how much you can trust russian statistics lol. Multiply by 10!

AIDS are the symptoms of the HIV viral infection. When I read your copy-past and compare it to other databases, I understand that Ukrs do not have the ability to detect the disease until people are very sick and dying. The ratio between AIDS and HIV shows the gravity of the disaster. 2) “Krokodil and rampant prostitution”, really? You try to talk English, but you end up speaking Russian. Usually, people who are proud of their original countries are also proud of their countries of adoption. It is not your case. Although you know that UKrs Nazi or Any Nazi are bad, you are afraid to admit it. Out of the 40 million population in Ukraine, 8 million live and work in Russia and there are more now.  Before the Soviet Union broke, Ukraine was one of the richest countries in Europe. Very fast after that, the corrupted government and people of Ukraine had to sell themselves and the country to survive.

Whenever you write you say “fagot, pedal”, bla, bla, bla. With all my respect to these people, with the rate of HIV in Ukraine you should not touch any man until you make sure the labs can detect the virus before symptoms appear or you know how to use protection. I can understand why Ukrainian soldiers in each war video call Zelenskyy "fag-t". Is this how soldiers show respect and love to a democratically chosen president and high command? Of course not.  They simply hate him because he stole their hopes and destroyed their country and their families because of his inability to put his people first.

Thank you! I have a lot of DMs, but direct support is precious!

While I am new here, I know that some Americans feel the same.

If only the country that has their AIDS situation on par with the least developed African nations focused on the well-being of their citizens first, before invading others and spreading AIDS there (literally and metaphorically)...

Wait until all these hundreds of thousands maimed soldiers come home, they have close to zero support and no infrastructure for the handicapped. Russia is circling the drain.

Gentlemen, do not feed the Eryv troll. He will be very happy to discuss things removed from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the farther the remove, the better.

Drug use and HIV  may well be rampant in Ukraine right now, as well as in Russia. TCholearhe devastation and misery that Russia has visited on Ukraine are ideal conditions for the spread of all kinds of disease.   Russian bombardment of water plants, as well as of electrical power facilities, means that Ukrainians will be getting water from all kinds of odd sources; it's a great environment for the spread of cholera, too.

So, let's see ... have any new Russian airfields blown up today?  :)

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is “disappointed” by former German chancellor Angela Merkel’s recent comments regarding the Minsk agreements – the now defunct roadmap for peace in Ukraine – which she admitted was a ruse to buy Ukraine more time to build up its military.

“What can you say to that?” Putin said during a press conference on Friday, adding that he was shocked to hear such a confession from the former German leader, having believed that Russia’s partners in Berlin “treated us with sincerity.”

The Russian leader said Merkel’s remarks once again prove that launching a military operation in Ukraine was the correct decision.

“As it turns out, nobody intended to fulfil any part of the Minsk agreements,” Putin said, recalling that former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko also recently admitted that he had no intention of adhering to the documents when he signed them in 2014 and 2015.

“I thought the other participants of this agreement were at least honest, but no, it turns out they were also lying to us and only wanted to pump Ukraine with weapons and get it prepared for a military conflict,” Putin said. “Apparently, we got our bearings too late, to be honest. Maybe we should have started all this [the military operation] earlier, but we just hoped that we would be able to solve it within the framework of the Minsk agreements.”

Vladimir Putin said Merkel’s admission raises an important question about trust. “Trust is already almost at zero, but after such statements, how can we possibly negotiate? About what? Can we make any agreements with anybody and where are the guarantees?”

The Minsk agreements, brokered by Germany and France, were supposed to be a roadmap for peace in the war-torn country, giving the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state, whose rule they rejected after the 2014 Maidan coup.

Who cares about Minsk agreements that were forced upon Ukraine? Ukraine had almost no army back then, and Russia wasn't primed to invade either. He makes it sound like they gave something up, and that's after annexing Crimea and starting insurgency in the East to create a permanent hotspot. This was their scenario all along, same as Moldova and Georgia. They could've easily annexed Donbass, but they just didn't want to deal with it.

They fcked up, they invaded and now it got out of control. Now the real clown is talking, completely out of his element. The best thing is it's only going to get worse.

Russians don't care as long as they have a dictator making their lives simple and telling them they're a nation of badasses.

And the vodka is flowing.

Ok, that seals the deal. It took 2,000 years, but we've finally determined that Russia/Russians are the bane of human existence. Now try China. What's their stance on homosexuals, IV drug users, and people infected with HIV?
