What were conditions like? Must have been blowing 35 knots inshore this morning.

We had 10-15kt SSW with seas 3 with an occasional 5ft thrown in there.
The report I saw on Windy, which is my go to, nailed it.

We had a great run to the Wilmington at 24-26kts. Go over that and you bounced. On the way home we ran at 37kts.
Only had to touch the throttles 1x, 2 miles off Longport, because we got boarded by fish and game :D

We ended up kicking the can last week due to a lack of confidence. Might be going for a ride on a boat with canyon range this weekend if the forecast looks ok.

Sunday looks possible, maybe, could be a sloppy ride home though.

We're on the fence.

Went out Friday into Saturday night. Chicken and Hudson. Tuna and life were a no show and tiles saved the day. Little sloppy Friday into Saturday morning.

We only got 1 smaller YFT, but mopped up on the Tile pretty good, so it wound up being well worth it.

In your boat ?

Heard some yellowfin were caught in the Wilmington but we went for a homerun shot at some larger grade bluefin. Hindsight 20/20 should of ran a bit deeper to where the rat yellows were thick in the hudson and hopped for a few keepers mixed in.

So you did not repower ,

Nope.  That hull wasn't worthy of a new engine, not that there's one to had right now anyway.

Oh , Are you in the market? or just waiting it out. You must be like a fish out of water.

Waiting it out.

Definitely a big adjustment now fishing only on weekends with friends on their boats instead of after work for a couple of hours almost every single day on my own.
