Even this past midweek I had to use surface lures to avoid weeding up. I imagine it’s still weedy.

Yup, it was.

Incredible day with blues on topwater and lunkers below the surface.  Big spoons were doing some serious damage-  solidified my choice to get a kayak to get access to some fun grounds.

Fished a sandbar in the upper bay last night 6/12 with lots of locals.

Caught one short on SS bottle.

THrew the whole bag at them and not another sniff.

What's the water temperature in upper bay at the moment?

The leak in my waders says it's warm but not too warm

I’m getting fish but I’d say it’s been a slower than usual spring. Some spots ( active herring runs) that produce very well have been quiet as hell.

School of pogies popped up right in front of me out of nowhere last night. Crazy how quickly the fishing improves with bait around. There's big fish around for the boat guys fishing live pogies. Couple of 50+ in the past few days, one upper 50's.

The boat brigade on bunker in providence is crazy.

Drive by it every morning. Insane amount of boats in a small area. Think I'm good.
