You should get 3 needles

Olive

Black

Flo green

Wonder bread

White needle with pink

The options on color are endless

What i use, there all custom

Black, gold red eye

Olive and hues of color

And many more

whats in my bag at all times

black ,gold hue

Block island green.  Thats flo green

olive with gold hue and purple around eyes.

. Dont forget stubbies

most my needles run. 2 to 2.8

Depending on type

I use stubbies also and thinner diameter they will run 1.5 to 1.9  2 oz

The weight depends on your rod and structure

Best bet is medium sinkers. This way you can work on top, mid and bottom.

Then you can build your collection to suit your needs.

Search me here for needlefish,  its my main lure i use besides  metal lips

Search me

No matter where I am , I have enough needlefish to cover the grid, some light some dark, from 1 oz to 3+ oz.  Where I fish mostly 2- 2.5, 8” needles have been producing very well.  I have a certain needlefish that is extremely productive in slow or fast moving water.  I did a little writing about needlefish with some more to come in the future.

I only fish needles at night. Small super strike in blurple or lime green. Amazing how often this is the only plug that gets hit. Cast out and reel it in steady and slow. Super boring to fish, but it does the business.

it blows my mind how good a needle is as a search plug and is almost always the first out of my bag
