New yota
I was given some pointers to help with first time using eels and striper fishing in general. Experienced angler gave me one of his Owner mutu hooks and he mentioned it has slight offset. Said this is better than the Gamagatsu. I did not think any offset was legal? wok167
Owner Mutus are available in both offset and non-offset (tournament). Legality depends on your specific bait, waterway, or season. New yota
ProSkateFisherman
Owner Mutu circles are great hooks. I use the 3/0 and 4/0 with fleas when I fish for stripers off of jetties and for live lining. Strong, sharp, and relatively cheap if I remember correctly. Maryland requires non offset circle hooks while bait fishing for stripers, so I use the tournament ones. Like Wok167 said, if you can use an offset hook depends on the place you are fishing. I think most places are inline hooks only. New yota 1 They were biting before you got here and they’ll bite again after you leave.
MikeK
Offset circles still gut hook fish. Use inline circles.
