no I said I have both.  Get the intermediate (RIO Striper) and let's see how you do.

 

It takes 2-3 minutes to put the fly line on... LOL, but if they put it on for you at n/c.. go for it young man

Intermediate is the easiest to toss and manage for a beginner.  Backing and line on the reel is no sweat, if there is a factory loop on the line I cut it off and make my own.

Clouser minnow... you can catch about anything, fresh or salt, on a clouser. Hard to beat Chart over white, or Olive over white for starters.

I think that works in any water on the planet.

 

That's what I throw for white bass which are basically baby stripers.
