HAMPTON, N.H. —

There was a massive police presence at Hampton Beach today as the hot temperatures attracted crowds on Saturday.

Hampton Police made 10 arrests while dispersing a large crowd that formed on the beach.

The charges include disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.  Police anticipate charges of 'riot' to be added for some suspects.

According to police, the crowd was part of an event organized on social media.

They say reports of fights in the group began just before 6:30 p.m.

Law enforcement officers in riot gear and from several agencies joined Hampton Beach Police to move the crowd off the beach.

The group moved to Ocean Boulevard where police say they blocked traffic for an hour while police worked to clear the road.

Officers shouted warnings into the crowd to leave the area.

There were no injuries or damage to property.

In watching morning news videos of this and other beaches to say no damage with all the police expense and inability to cover other things is disgusting. Another example of the last 2 years logo:  “Do the crime you’ll get no time”!    :dungeon:

Is the water up there even above 50° yet? We used to go up there in July & August and the water was really cold. I wouldn't want to go in there now, even with the high temps last weekend.
